The PE/VC Club and the Brazil Club are happy to invite you for a unique opportunity to have an open and deep discussion on Private Equity and Emerging Markets with Alexandre Saigh, one of the main private equity leaders of Latin America today. Mr Saigh is the Co-Founder, Senior Managing Partner and Head of Private Equity at Patria Investments, a leading Latin American alternative assets manager with USD10bn in AuM. Mr. Saigh will present a case study on the acquisition of Frooty (leading acai brand - https://frooty.com.br/), which will cover all aspects and stages of private equity investments in great detail and insight. He will also talk about the main value drivers and the main challenges of doing this type of investments, in particular in Emerging Markets. The presentation will start at 17.30 on Friday 16 Feb and will be followed by a Q&A session and networking with drinks and food.

Alexandre Saigh is Senior Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Patria and a member of Patria’s Board, Executive Committee, Management Committee and Investment Committees. He held and currently holds board member positions in several of Patria's Funds' Invested Companies. He co-founded Patria in 2001 (successor of Patrimônio) developing and leading its efforts to become one of the leading alternative investment firms. He joined Patrimônio in 1994 as a Managing Partner responsible for the development and execution of the Firm’s PE business. Between 1994 and 1997, while developing Patrimônio’s private equity business, Mr. Saigh was Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Drogasil, one of the leading drugstore chains in Brazil and Patria’s first private equity investment. Prior to joining Patrimônio, Mr. Saigh worked at JPMorgan Investment Bank from 1989 to 1994, as a Vice President for its private equity, corporate finance and M&A divisions.
