VC training: Intro to Term Sheets

The PE/VC Club is delighted to welcome back to campus David Farquharson, Founder of Ignition Law, to give a talk to us on VC Term Sheets on Tuesday 22nd January, 2019 at 7:15 pm.

For those of you vaguely familiar with venture capital investing and startups, you might know that the term sheet is one of the most important parts of the venture capital investment process.

David will be drawing on his extensive experience advising startups and entrepreneurs to educate us about all the important components of VC term sheets, both from the perspective of a venture capitalist, and the startups they are looking to invest in, through a 1 hour 15 minute session.

It’s safe to say David has seen many term sheets in his time. His firm advises startup companies and entrepreneurs on a wide range of legal matters and has been recognized as a leading legal advisor to startups by the FT. David also has a longstanding relationship with LBS, having been a regular guest lecturer to the MBA class here for the past 10 years.

David will be joined by his colleague Phil Robinson, a Managing Associate at Ignition Law, who also has extensive experience advising entrepreneurs and startups.

For those of you who may be interested in participating in the Venture Capital Investment Competition taking place later in January, this event will also equip you with important knowledge to give you an edge during the competition.

The talk will be followed by Q&A.
