Details
Searchlight Capital Partners is a $3.9bn AUM investment fund deploying capital across Americas and Europe. We differentiate ourselves from other investment firms in the following ways:
- Capital structure flexibility – From the same fund, Searchlight is able to invest across the capital structure, taking positions in debt (distressed, performing credits, convertibles), listed equity (we can buy stakes as low as 5% in public equities), and private equity.
- Transaction structure flexibility – 14 out of our 19 private equity deals in the last 6 years were partnerships with either large corporates, entrepreneurs, and/or families. We typically help businesses transform in one (or more) of the following ways – (i) transformational M&A (providing capital for a large scale acquisition), (ii) internationalising (helping businesses expand globally through our transatlantic network), and/or (iii) accelerating organic growth (e.g. building a new factory or diversifying into new product/service lines). As a result of such partnerships and structuring flexibility, we can own between 5-65% of the equity.
- Sector Focus – We focus on only 3 sector verticals – TMT, Consumer/Retail, and Services. We have a thematic approach allowing us to have a deep understanding of industry trends/drivers/business models and consequently we are many times seen as strategic partners when discussing opportunities for value creation.
Space is limited. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early on the day of the event. PE/VC Club attendance policy applies.
