IESE MBA Buyout Case Competition 2020

This is an internal selection round of the upcoming IESE Buyout Case Competition which will take place on 21 March 2020 in Barcelona, Spain.

The schedule will be as follows:
Internal selection round

• Team list submission – 19 January 12:00pm
• Mini-case due – 24 January EOD
• Team selection decision – 26 January 

• Two pages max
• Identify a public company to take private via a leveraged buy-out
• Conduct a valuation of the entity, discuss key assumptions, and outline your exit strategy / target return

Representing teams

• Case material distribution – 14 February
• Case submission due– 16 March
• Competition day – 21 March (full-day in Barcelona)

If you are interested in participating, please e-mail the names and CVs of 5 students by 12:00pm on 19 January 2020 to Adrien (adrienb.mfa2020@london.edu), Katsuya (ktanizawa.mba2021@london.edu) and Taylor (tplatt.mba2021@london.edu). If you cannot form a team but would like to participate, please send us an email and we will attempt to patch together individuals. Please see below for some details of the competition.

• Eligibility: MBAs and MIFs
• Representing Teams: up to two teams, 5 people per team
• Registration fee: PE / VC Club will bear the fee
• All applicants need to be able to travel to Barcelona on the day of the competition
• Prizes
  • $1,500 for 1st place
