Discussions on Socioeconomic Discrimination - Speak Out LBS

In a recent SA survey it was found that students felt most discriminated against because of their socioeconomic status.

Michelle Alvarado, who spearheaded FLII club at LBS, and our guest speaker, and Bernice Maldonado, an experienced first generation advocate and researcher, will make a quick presentation about the challenges of being a FLII student in LBS.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. After that, 4-5 FLII students will lead roundtables to discuss with attendees the topics cited in the presentation and share their own perspectives/examples.

Speak Out LBS is our school’s inaugural anti-bullying and harassment week. You can expect to learn about the very real impact of bullying and harassment on its victims as well as equip yourself with practical tools that you can apply in your personal life and as a future business leaders.
