Social Impact Club: What to look out for this year
  1. Social Impact Pub Garden – AB InBev sponsored event hosted by the club during Welcome Week – hear more from the club and AB InBev on how businesses can have profit with purpose and hear about their sustainability challenge for MBA students
  2. Formal Club launch – look out for our formal club launch, where you can hear about our events together with ICC and Volunteers club.
  3. Introduction to Careers in Social Impact – Later this term, the Career Centre will run their careers in Social Impact event. Hear from MBA2019s about their social impact career journey to date and how you can shape your social impact career while at LBS.
  4. What does Social Impact mean for you in a consulting world? Panel involving the likes of Dalberg, CDC, SystemIQ and Accenture to discuss the meaning of social impact, within a consulting career.
  5. A banker’s perspective on investing with impact – Panel of impact investors from traditional banking companies such as JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Deutche Bank, Blackrock
  6. MIINT – Join your fellow impact investors by taking part in MIINT, the largest impact investing competition on campus. Last year, we had our LBS team take up the global runner-up prize at Wharton for their pitch to invest in MIINT. Find out more here.
  7. GSVC – Take part in Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC), a Berkeley led social enterprises competition for early stage ideas that can change the world. Find out more here.
  8. Social Impact Trek, April 2019 – Join the Social Impact club for our 2019 emerging markets trek –Last year, we had a group of 35 students visit organisations in Kenya’s driving the social enterprises sector. Look out for this year’s trek, to be held in April 2019.
