The Club Financiero Español, City of London and the Spanish Club at The London Business School (http://www.london.edu/) have the pleasure to invite you to the presentation of Daniel Lacalle’s latest book “The Energy World is Flat” (co-authored with Diego Parrilla) and the discussion that will follow on the state of the global energy markets.
We will also take advantage of this opportunity to present the activities of the Club Financiero Español, City of London (http://www.cfe.london/ ).

BIO's:

Daniel Lacalle is a fund manager and author. He is a Senior Economist (CIIA title), with a post graduate degree in IESE and a master's degree in economic investigation (UCV). Author of "Life in the Financial Markets", (Wiley, 2014) and "The Energy World Is Flat" (Wiley, 2014, with Diego Parrilla) and regular collaborator with The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, El Confidencial, El Mundo, and The Commentator.
His bestselling books have been published in Spanish with the titles: "Nosotros los Mercados", "Viaje a la Libertad Economica" and "La Madre de Todas las Batallas" (Deusto), as well as in Portuguese "Nos Os Mercados".
Mr Lacalle has more than 24 years of experience in the energy and finance sectors, including experience in North Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. He was voted Top 3 Generalist and Number 1 Pan-European Buyside Individual in Oil & Gas in Thomson Reuters' Extel Survey in 2011, the leading survey among companies and financial institutions.

Javier Blas is “Reporter-at-Large” in the Energy, Environment and Commodities team of Bloomberg based in London since March 2015. Prior to that he was Africa Editor of The Financial Times and before that he was the Commodities Editor and Commodities correspondent of the same newspaper. While at the Financial Times, he founded the FT Global Commodities Summit, the largest gathering of C-suite executives in the commodities trading sector.
Blas previously worked for Expansion, a Spanish-based business publication. He is a graduate of the University of Navarra, Spain, and studied at the University of Sheffield, UK.
