WiB Trailblazers: In Conversation with Roula Khalaf, Editor of the Financial Times

The LBS Women in Business Club is honoured to host Roula Khalaf, Editor of the Financial Times, for the 2025 edition of our Trailblazer Series — a platform celebrating women who break barriers and lead with purpose.

Roula Khalaf became the FT’s first female editor in 2020, marking a historic moment in the newspaper’s 135-year history. She previously served as Deputy Editor, overseeing global editorial initiatives and leading a network of more than 100 foreign correspondents. Throughout her distinguished career, she has held senior roles including Foreign Editor and Middle East Editor, where she launched a regional edition and led coverage of major global events.

She currently serves on the board of the Committee to Protect Journalists.
