Subject: Autumn Stock Pitch Competition - pitch template and general guidelines

Dear IMC Members,

The Autumn Stock Pitch Competition is the first in the series. The Student Investment Fund is looking forward to welcoming a new idea, and a new member to the Fund's Investment Committee.

The competition is open to IMC members of all degree programmes. The deadline for submission will be 9am on Thursday 24^th October with the finalists announced on 31^st October. Please send your pitch (template and example attached) to gorlandini.mifft2014@london.edu.

The final event will be held on Thursday 7^th of November at 7:00 pm in LT6. Finalists will then have to do a ten minute pitch followed by 5 minutes of questions. There will be judges from Orbis and Fidelity on the night.

This competition represents an excellent opportunity for students with an interest for the stock market not only to practice their stock pitching abilities but also to get direct exposure to potential employers. Finalists will have the chance to receive insightful feedback on their recommendation and presentation skills from professionals in the asset management industry.

Competition rules

- Participants have to select a stock that represent a good investment opportunity and put together a convincing recommendation.

- All participants have to submit their recommendation using the pre-determined template for review by the judges by 9am on Thursday 24^th October (pitch template attached to this email)

- Must be traded in one of following exchanges:

• USA: NY stock exchange, NASDAQ, American Stock Exchange (ADRs included)
• Canada: Toronto Stock Exchange, Canadian Venture Exchange
• Europe: LSE, Borsa Italiana, Deutsche Bourse, NYSE Euronext (Paris Bourse, Amsterdam Stock Exchange, Brussels Stock Exchange), Madrid Stock Exchange, SIX-Swiss Exchange, ISE-Irish Stock Exchange
• Asia: ASX-Australian Securities Exchange, Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Singapore Stock Exchange
