Dear First_Name,

The time has come for our dear comrades to pledge their allegiance to one of the coolest and more active clubs on campus … for 3 key reasons:

1. We are just about to become bigger, better, and bindaas (colloquial Indian word signifying intense amount of fun and frolic!... Cool, in Bollywood lingo)
2. Beyond having fun, we will create tangible value add for the LBS community via alumni engagement and career support activities and hosting eminent personalities from/interested in India. 
3. We have also been asked by the SA to take over the Pratham Club and its mission. Pratham is the largest non-governmental organization working to provide quality education to the underprivileged children of India

To be able to achieve these goals, we need financing – and you can help us by graciously allocating at least 2 ‘coins’ to India Club in the upcoming coin vote (details below). By doing so, you will be helping the fun-loving party animal within, your own career, and underprivileged children in India. We are looking forward to your undying support! ============= WHAT WILL INDIA CLUB DO THIS YEAR ========

• Fun
  • A bigger better Diwali Party on 5th November 2011 (mark your calendars)
  • An off-site Holi Party
  • Yatra 2011 (India Trek)– retaining the best elements of 2010 and adding new flavors where appropriate to further enhance the cultural diversity that participants will experience
  • Bollywood Nights, Food Clubs, Karaoke nights… and more
• Career
  • Work with Career Services to organize an India Career Trek (Mumbai, Delhi) leveraging our vast alumni network in the region
  • Identify and work with executive recruiters in India to help students across all programs who are interested in opportunities in India
  • Engage and leverage the vast India Club alumni network in Banking and Consulting in London for career coaching, coffee chats etc.
• Social Cause
  • Work to continue Pratham Club’s good work in supporting provide quality education to the underprivileged children of India
• Speakers
  • We plan to host some key personalities from the following industries in India to allow the LBS community to get a closer look at these industry:
    • Film and Media
    • Sports
    • Non-profit

============= WHAT IS COIN VOTE ============
What is the Coin Vote?
Current students will have a total of 5 Coins each, which can be allocated to the clubs of their choice however they choose. The number of Coins that a club earns determines the budget they will receive from the LBS Student Association for the upcoming academic year. An important part of the rule is that: you can give as many as 3 coins to one single club. If you give more, your vote will be disqualified

What does the India club request?
We need you support. We are a very compassionate club and will not trouble you to give 3 coins to us (although we will be super happy if you do so). All we request is to give us at least 2 coins. We have outlined this year’s plans above (and in a recent email), be it cultural programs or for the first time taking up a career coaching role connecting India Club’s vast alumni network, - and to help us help you WE NEED MONEY.

When/How do I make my Coin Vote?
The Coin votes start on Sunday evening and you will receive an email from the Student Association with details
