Subject: French Club and the Film Club joint screening of "L'auberge espagnole", March 10th, LT3, 20:30
This week, jointly with the Film Club, we bring you "L'auberge espagnole" (the Spanish hostel), a French comedy about love, friendship and youth.
Xavier, a French student in his twenties, signs on to a European exchange program, says farewell to his loving girlfriend (pledging to stay close despite their physical distance) and heads to Barcelona. He moves into an apartment with a cast of six other characters from all over Europe - an Italian, an English girl, a boy from Denmark, a young girl from Belgium, a German and a girl from Tarragona near Barcelona. They all join him in a series of adventures that serve as an initiation to life. Together, they speak the international language of love and friendship.
Expect French food, and that is reason enough for coming.
