Fireside Chat with Iñaki Berenguer - Successful Serial Entrepreneur and VC investor
The Spanish Club is excited to be hosting Iñaki Berenguer on Tuesday 18th April, 19-20h. Inaki is a Managing Partner at LifeX, a $100M venture capital fund investing in visionary entrepreneurs building a longer and better life for People and Planet. Previously, he was the cofounder and CEO of 3 startups in NY: Pixable, acquired by SingTel in 2012 for $30M; Contactive, acquired by Fuze; and CoverWallet, which raised $60M, with over 500 employees and close to $1B in premium revenue, and acquired by Aon in 2020. He has worked at McKinsey & Company and Microsoft Corporate Strategy. He is a Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and has personally invested in over 100 startups. Inaki earned Master's and PhD degrees in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, and an MBA from MIT. He was also a two-year Fulbright Scholar at Columbia University and a postdoc at the Cambridge-MIT Institute. During this session, we will be discussing with Iñaki: - The jump from big corporations to be an entrepreneur; - How to start a VC fund and how break into the VC world; - Insights about investing in start-ups; - His experiences in general after the MBA; The session will be run in English, so attendees from all nationalities and programs are welcomed to the event!
