The Event Promotion Planner is a short template that walks you through the essentials: your audience, messaging, timeline, channels and content. It's not compulsory, but the events that plan their promotion early consistently get better turnout and less last-minute stress. You can request a copy or discuss your plans by emailing editorialplanning@london.edu.
10 Ways to Fill the Room (PDF) is a quick guide covering the principles of effective event promotion at LBS. Useful for committee handovers, club inductions or anyone wanting a quick overview.
Your personal advocacy is your most powerful promotional tool. Personal posts on social media typically achieve more engagement than organisational posts.
Central support is focused on the largest Student Club events or those that align with LBS's five foundations, feature high-profile speakers, serve strategic objectives or appeal to broad audiences.
Not all events will be promoted through all channels. The team will match your event to the most relevant mix.
Please do not use the Event Promotion Form for media requests. Contact Editorial Planning directly at least six weeks before your event.
For urgent media queries less than six weeks out, contact the Press team (press@london.edu).
Planning your first event can feel like a lot, especially alongside your studies. Our toolkit is there to guide you, but you don't have to work it all out alone.
